Job Title: Hyperion EPM Sr. Consultant   

We are looking for a functional EPM consultant with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Oracle EPM Applications (Essbase, Planning, Hyperion Financial Management, FDM, DRM, OBIEE, or Public Sector Planning), as well as applicable hands-on development experience. Must be able to work in a fast-paced consulting environment with the goal of delivering high-value solutions to our esteemed customers globally across a diverse set of verticals.

Key Responsibilities:   

· Design and develop all aspects of new Hyperion implementations and required changes to existing applications  

· Translate client business needs into practical architecture for budgeting, reporting, or consolidation solutions  

· Define systems strategy, develop systems requirements, design, prototype, implement and rollout solutions  

· Write and maintain clear, concise functional and technical specifications for Hyperion applications and business system processes  

· Write custom Business Rules and/or Calculation Scripts for custom logic to facilitate client budgeting and forecasting needs  

· Proactively and frequently communicate with customers to build and maintain a solid working relationship  

· Integration of Hyperion applications with existing processes, including budgeting and forecasting, and data warehouse/management
reporting  

· Design and implementation of custom reports using Hyperion reporting tools to address company needs and improve frequency,
accuracy and timeliness of reporting  

· Optimization of Hyperion applications  

· Work on other Hyperion development projects with the rest of the Hyperion Team and business users as needed  

· Willingness to create and deliver abstracts, webinars and presentations for conferences, user groups and social media  

· Produce and deliver documentation for design, training and application administration   

· Operate independently to provide quality work products to an engagement.    

· Demonstrate expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements.    

· Effectively consult with management of customer organizations.    

· Gain client acceptance of the defined solution.   

· Fully comprehend client requirements and translate them into implementable solutions.    

· Participate in and/or support business development activities.   

· Learn and execute based on the Inspirage implementation methodology.   

Required Knowledge & Skills:   

· 5 years EPM related experience developing and architecting all aspects of EPM solutions using the Hyperion suite of products  

· 4 years of Planning/Essbase consulting experience  

· Involvement with a minimum of five (5) full life cycle Hyperion EPM implementations  

· Ability to write custom coding in Hyperion Planning/Essbase or Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)  

· Demonstrate strong proficiency in all technical and functional aspects of Hyperion application solution design, development and deployment  

· Extensive knowledge of application administration and database administration, specifically Oracle Database  

· Deep understanding of Hyperion components, RDBMS, and Weblogic  

· Understanding of Finance business processes, including forecasting and budgeting cycles and corporate reporting requirements  

· Excellent problem solving and debugging skills with experience in troubleshooting issues for Hyperion clients  

· Strong analytical skills and ability to think in a complex and rapidly changing environment  

· Excellent oral and written communication skills  

· Willingness to travel within the continental US up to 80% (typically Monday – Thursday)  

· US citizen or valid US work visa  

· BS degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, Computer Science or related field  

· Ability to manage multiple projects at a given point in time   

· Ability to learn quickly  

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience   

· Up to 80% within the continental US (typically Monday – Thursday)  

Preferred qualifications:  

· Hyperion Certified implementation professional  

· Corporate FP&A or Accounting experience  

· Relational database experience
