Job Assignment:

The estimator will be responsible for estimating commercial and or residential projects in a timely manner. The ideal candidate can read specifications and drawings. We are searching for a professional estimator who is self-motivated, extremely well organized, and accurate; excels in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and can work with a team. The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret and analyze blueprints, specifications, and schedules to gain a thorough understanding of a project.
• Prepare take-offs using estimating software.
• Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel to obtain accurate quotes for materials and labor.
• Transfer detailed information to excel spreadsheet for review and approval.
• Create and maintain relationships with new and existing clients and vendors.
• Provide accurate bids to customers on or before deadlines.
• Monitor and track any changes to projects.
• Work closely with the estimating team, project managers and assistant project managers.

Qualifications/ Experience:

• 2 years’ experience in estimating (specifically tile and flooring a plus)
• Competent at reading blueprints, specifications, and schedules
• Proficient computer skills – must be familiar with estimating software systems (Measure Square or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with MS Excel strongly desired
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task.
• Open-minded, collaborative and team oriented.
• Bachelor’s degree a plus but not required.
• Competitive salary based on level of experience.

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

• Construction estimating: 1 year (Preferred)
• Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Required)
• Pricing: 1 year (Preferred)
