What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN Registered Nurse PACU (Recovery) position at Institute for Orthopaedic Surgery?
Growing Orthopedic Hospital
Must pass background check and physical including drug screen
PRN RN Position in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (Recovery) Must work a minimum of 1 shift every 30 days.
Previous PACU Experience Required.
BLS and ACLS required. Telemetry and PALS preferred. ACLS and PALS are offered onsite and are free of charge.
Directly responsible for coordinating immediate post-operative recovery care of the orthopedic surgical patient. Nursing actions are directed toward optimizing recovery from anesthesia, detecting and managing post-anesthesia complications, providing ongoing assessments and interventions appropriate to the surgical procedure, and supporting the patient emotionally. Demonstrates care that is geared to the surgical experience. Modifies procedures to the response and comfort of the individual patient.
