RK Metals, a division of Integral Manufacturing-a leading contract manufacturer of metal and plastic components, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a broad range of general maintenance and repairs to maintain the facility, equipment, machinery and production operations.

Duties Include:

· Performs general plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC repairs to the facility’s equipment and systems

· Perform routine tasks, such as set ups, cleaning, lubricating, and starting machinery

· Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and hand tools

· Performs regular inspections of machinery, tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order, and detects and repairs any defects or issues found

· Monitors machines and equipment for any visual or audible malfunctions and performs necessary modifications to eliminate the root cause of problems

· Troubleshoots and repairs equipment and machinery for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic or other problems using schematics, drawings, manuals, etc.

· Communicates best practices and assists production team in identifying and remedying process and equipment issues proactively and as they arise

· Consults manuals, blueprints or building plans to identify best solution to resolve systems or equipment issues

· Identifies and recommends more complex machine modifications to management and obtains services of outside contractors for completion of specialized tasks

· Discusses equipment and machine operation variations with maintenance team to jointly diagnose problems and execute repairs

· Observes all safety rules and regulations including lock out/tag out procedures and PPE and ensures quality control standards are consistently met

· Conducts preventive maintenance to plant equipment, machinery and facilities according to schedules, checklists and written instructions to ensure all systems continue to operate properly

· Tracks inventories for maintenance supplies and materials and works with appropriate personnel to get quotes and facilitate purchase of required materials, tools, or equipment

· Maintains and updates maintenance logs warranty info for all equipment

· Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery, using rags, brushes, and grease gun

· Performs general cleaning tasks in the facility

Qualifications Include:

· Highly experienced using tools and equipment necessary to perform general and specialized maintenance

· Excellent equipment troubleshooting and repair skills

· Comprehensive understanding of blueprints, building plans, and repair manuals

· Experienced in using pallet jacks and forklifts

· Excellent time management skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Solid organizational skills and attention to detail

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Record of adherence to safe work practices

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports
