Job Description
Please note that this position will require travel to both office locations, Enfield, CT & Simsbury, CT. Please do not apply if you are unable to work at both practice locations.
Duties :
- Greet and room patient
- Take dermatology history, chief complaint
- Scribe a dictated exam by the provider
- Set up biopsy trays
- Package and label specimens for shipment
- Clean and autoclave & surgical instruments
- Call patients with biopsy results
- Answer phone messages and faxes for the provider
- Assist fellow team members in busy clinic
Qualifications :
- Ability to multitask and self-manage
- Ability to manage EMR system on a tablet
- Ability to speak clearly to patients and staff
- Ability to also work at our Simsbury location
Job Type :
Full-Time : Monday Friday 8am 5pm with an occasional mandatory Saturday
Experience :
- 1 year Medical Assistant experience required
- Dermatology office Medical Assistant experience preferred
Education
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Certifications / Licenses :
Medical Assistant certificate is preferred
Pay :
Pay starts at $19.00 per hour and increases with years of experience
