IST is looking for a motivated individual with leadership skills to join our company as a Project Manager. In this role, you work within the Virginia Beach office overseeing electronic and physical security projects of varying sizes from inception to the completion.
The successful candidate will work directly with internal/external stakeholders to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. Duties and Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage projects at varied stages ranging from construction/renovation to wide scale technology updates or refresh.
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with the PMO team, senior management, and stakeholders.
- Responsible for the entire project life cycle from budgeting through job completion.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to proactively manage and communicate changes in project scope/schedule/cost, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans. Where required, work with Account Management to present Change Orders to the customer.
- Attend contractor meetings representing the security interests of our clients.
- Meet with clients to manage project schedules and Scope. Clarify the specific requirements of each project.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term project goals.
- Maintains construction schedule and coordinates scheduling with other trades.
- Maintains current job plans and specifications.
- Proactively works with Project Accounting to ensure timely project procurement, billing, and project cost vs. revenue tracking. Manage the project finances to meet defined targets and prepares monthly reports.
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
- Maintains all records of job status, job changes, material flow, and other control records and prepares project closeout reports for internal and external use.
- Presents a professional image of IST when speaking to customers.
- Use and continually develop leadership skills.
