Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Talent Development Coordinator to support the growth and professional development of our team. This position plays a key role in coordinating staff training initiatives, tracking compliance, and fostering a culture of continuous learning as well as designing, delivering, and managing new hire orientation, compliance training, and ongoing staff development for both administrative and direct care staff. The ideal candidate is organized, enthusiastic about employee development, and committed to supporting the mission and values of our organization. The coordinator ensures all staff receive timely, high-quality training aligned with agency values, licensing standards, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Training Coordination

  • Coordinate and schedule internal and external training sessions, workshops, and professional development opportunities for clinical and administrative staff.
  • Maintain a rolling training calendar and communicate upcoming learning opportunities to staff and supervisors.
  • Monitor and track completion of mandatory trainings and certifications to ensure organizational and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of onboarding training modules for new employees.
  • Maintain accurate records of training attendance, materials, and evaluations.
  • Collaborate with HR and department leads to customize onboarding for clinical and non-clinical roles.

Training Delivery & Instruction

  • Serve as a certified trainer and facilitator for:
  • CPR/First Aid
  • Other role-specific compliance or operational systems
  • Deliver training sessions ensuring content is engaging and interactive.
  • Provide training on agency specific requirements as needed.

Learning & Development Support

  • Work with department leaders to identify training needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Support the implementation of learning management systems (LMS) and assist staff with access, navigation, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in the creation and updating of training materials, guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback surveys and performance metrics and contribute to ongoing improvements.
Recertification & Compliance
  • Manage training compliance for all required certifications, including renewals.
  • Maintain accurate records of training completion, certifications, and expirations in the HRIS.
  • Schedule and coordinate required state-mandated Case Management Training for relevant staff.

Program Coordination & Continuous Improvement

  • Regularly assess training effectiveness and make content updates based on feedback, changes in policy, or regulatory updates.
  • Collaborate with clinical, residential, and administrative leaders to identify additional training needs.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and licensing/accreditation standards impacting staff education.

Administrative Support

  • Assist with compliance-related training requirements such as HIPAA, workplace safety, and cultural competency.
  • Coordinate with outside trainers, vendors, and partners as needed.
  • Support the HR team with general administrative duties, data entry, and recordkeeping.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, or a related field required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in HR or training coordination, required. Healthcare or nonprofit experience is a plus.
    • Data analysis and visualization presentation experience required.
    • Project management experience required.
    • HRIS experience required.
    • Data entry, HR analytics, Data integrity and accuracy experience required.
  • The ability to obtain certifications for agency specific training within 6 months of hire.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with learning management systems (LMS) is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to track multiple deadlines and requirements.
  • Positive attitude and passion for helping others learn and grow.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to physically demonstrate and engage in PCM techniques, including lifting, kneeling, and controlled physical maneuvers.

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • This is a full-time, in-person role based at our Main Center in Opelika.
  • Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on training needs.
