Job Description:
The GIS Analyst Environmental will support the development, enrollment, and sustainment of the Environmental Remediation GIS data layer/layers for Coast Guard (CG) facilities. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate and up-to-date GIS data that is essential for environmental remediation projects.

The GIS Analyst Environmental will support the development, enrollment, and sustainment of the Environmental Remediation GIS data layer/layers for Coast Guard (CG) facilities. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate and up-to-date GIS data that is essential for environmental remediation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, edit, and update GIS data layers, web maps, and other GIS products using ESRI's ArcGIS suite of applications.
- Input data and make changes to records stored within the GIS data layers with high accuracy.
- Produce process guides, letters, memorandums, visual presentations, spreadsheets, and email communications for internal CG use and with different government agencies using Microsoft Office suite tools.
- Sustain the existing environmental remediation GIS layer at all applicable CG units using the existing data schema, including the addition of any historical remediation data to the applicable facility layer as it becomes available.
- Publish remediation GIS data on the applicable ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise-based platform.
- Develop, sustain, and publish environmental remediation GIS layers for additional CG facilities as directed, utilizing the existing environmental remediation data schema and applicable ArcGIS Enterprise-based storage site.
- Convert pre-existing environmental remediation GIS data to conform to the existing environmental remediation data schema and add to the applicable CG facilities remediation GIS data layer.
- Minimum of five years of experience in developing, editing, and updating GIS data layers using ESRI's ArcGIS suite of GIS applications.
- Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or technical school in GIS, Surveying, Engineering, Geography, Information Systems, or Environmental Management.
- At least five years of related work experience directly related to environmental remediation projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite tools.
- Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Ability to wear and display Government-issued identification badges as required.
