Research Associate Position Overview Deft Research, an Integrity Company, is a full-service market research firm focused on the needs of the health insurance industry. The Research Associate works with the VP of Research, Research Managers, and Senior Researchers on quantitative market research projects for Deft clients. They handle parts of the project as assigned by the VP of Research, Research Manager/Sr. Researcher such as writing questionnaires, scheduling and overseeing fieldwork, programming questionnaires, tabulating data, creating reports, and contributing to data deliverables. Specific Job Responsibilities Assist with writing surveys on custom and syndicated projects that operationalize key research questions into measurable items Program surveys using Lighthouse Studio for online administration Perform technical reviews of survey programming to ensure that it’s working as expected Manage data collection with online panel partners: Maintain consistent communication with panels throughout data collection Monitor sample as it comes in to ensure balance and that any quotas are met Help troubleshoot issues that may arise during data collection Process survey data to prepare for analysis Analyze data primarily by producing tables, descriptives statistics, and performing hypothesis tests Contribute to PowerPoint reports by producing visually appealing charts and engaging headlines/summaries of findings Perform technical reviews of analysis and reports in preparation of final delivery to the client Essential Qualifications Education: bachelor’s degree or higher in statistics, social sciences, or business with a market research emphasis Pertinent years of market research experience: Up to five years (Preferred) Strong oral and written communication skills Strong analytic skills Software: working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and SPSS.
