JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a highly motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing team of professionals. You will be working in Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, and Interventional Pain Management. Must have excellent communication skills, be a team player, be willing to learn new skills, and adapt to change often. Experience as a medical assistant is required based on the specialties of our practice. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education: Post-Secondary degree/certification preferred, i.e. Health Science Major.
Minimum Work Experience: 6 months related clinical experience in a physician's office or hospital preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Greets patients courteously and professionally and escort them to the appropriate exam room. Obtains all medical information per clinic policy and documents in the patient's record. Checks patient records routinely for omissions. Assists in all procedures as directed by the clinic's medical providers. Makes referral appointment calls for patients at the provider's direction. Makes prescription calls for patients at the provider's direction. Arranges for all patient diagnostic testing and follow-up appointments. Receives and disperses all diagnostic results and lab reports per clinic policy. Scans all diagnostic results in the patient's record when appropriate. Stocks and maintains medical exam rooms daily. Assures cleanliness of all exam rooms after each patient visit. Assures that all medical consents are signed and witnessed—other duties the clinic manager assigns.

Salary: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour (strictly salary based on certification and/or experience)
