Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cell Tower Technician to join our team.
The Cell Tower Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of communications equipment and related infrastructure. This role requires working at heights, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain. Wearing personal protective equipment (hard hat at all times). Able to work 8 -10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required. Includes crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required. Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.
MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have clean driving record with valid drivers license
- Must be able to pass drug test with a negative result including cannabis
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have basic hand tools
- Must be proficient in the English language
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, test, and repair communication equipment, including antennas, radios, and cabling.
- Termination of cabling as needed
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on cell towers and related infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cell tower equipment and network performance.
- Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances per drawings or plans.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and inspection reports.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure efficient operations.
- Respond to emergency service calls and perform repairs as needed.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment required for tower work.
Requirements
- Able to perform sweep tests, PIM tests, and fiber tests not required but a plus.
- OSHA 30 Construction and/or OSHA 10 not required put a plus.
- Climbing certifications not required but a plus.
- RF awareness training not required but a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
