What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Sales Representative position at Intelligent Conversations?
You must have prior success selling technical applications and filtration solutions to bio-tech, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, chemical manufacturers, and other industries in a highly competitive market. You have a proven track record of prospecting success and can easily explain how you will build and maintain a full pipeline. You understand that growing a territory takes time and you are excited to tell us how you will build up this territory from scratch over the next two to three years.
You must be comfortable asking questions and engaging multiple stakeholders over a long sales process to identify opportunities, build the business case, and help navigate a complex approval and review process. To be successful, you must be a self-starter, accountable, driven, ethical, hard-working, personable, rejection proof, and work well independently.
You have exceptional listening and questioning skills, love to find and close new business, sell value instead of price, and develop long-lasting customer relationships. Your high attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communications skills, as well as your tenacious follow-up enables you to sell to engineers and operations executives. You should be proud of your numbers and eager to tell us how your sales results make you the best candidate to join our team.
Experience with consultative selling or solution selling is helpful. Familiarity with manufacturing and filtration processes, an understanding of developing solutions for complex applications, and experience navigating the constraints of being a distributor will also help you succeed. You must have a growth mindset and be comfortable leveraging technology. You should have prior annual earnings of $100k or more and a strong desire to earn more
