Trained Medication Aide (TMA)
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Trained Medication Aide to join our healthcare team.
Job Summary
The Trained Medication Aide will be responsible for safely administering prescribed medications to patients, assisting with patient care, monitoring resident's response to medication, and ensuring medication storage and handling comply with safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Safely administer prescribed medications to patients as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Assist with patient care and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor residents' response to medication and report any concerns or changes.
- Ensure medication storage and handling comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care for patients.
Requirements:
- Must have a Trained Medication Aide (TMA) certification with a minimum of 48 hours of training.
- Current CNA registry with the state of MN.
- One year of experience working in an assisted living or skilled nursing facility.
- Ability to work communicate in English in verbal and written form.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records systems and the ability to chart effectively.
