GENERAL SUMMARY: Under general supervision the IT Specialist I provides client desktop support, either remote or in person, including the troubleshooting, installation and repair of related network, hardware, and software components.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides customer-oriented support services to end users in a professional manner.
Installs, configures, and upgrades networked workstations, servers, and peripherals using established procedures.
Returns networked workstations to established configurations.
Establish networked workstations configurations.
Performs and supervises workstation migrations.
Provides information regarding established policies and procedures to users.
Establishes server access for authorized users with logon ID and password and maintains appropriate records using established procedures.
Ensures operating system(s) and software are current and correctly configured.
Installs and monitors computer hardware to ensure that equipment is correctly configured and in proper working condition.
Diagnoses hardware and software problems and determines appropriate corrective action.
Identifies and maintains documentation for support personnel for installation, configuration and support of network and workstation hardware and software.
Ensures that copy rights and privacy rights are protected.
Ensures that users’ and systems’ network folders are properly secured
Assists higher level technical specialists as directed
Perform and supervise hardware inventory process.
Required to commute between company locations to provide on-site IT service and troubleshooting.
Responsible for following any policies, procedures, and controls established by the organization, the HIPAA Privacy Officer, and/or the HIPAA Security Officer regarding access to, protection of, and the use of the PHI.
Performs other duties as assigned or necessary as they relate to the general nature of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education – Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
Experience – Five (5) years of experience in Windows 7/8/10 environment and some experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
Certification – Comp TIA Certification, Microsoft Certifications, or other IT industry standard certifications a plus.
REGULATORY:
Minimum 18 years of age.
DPS Level I fingerprint clearance (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).
CPR, First Aid, AED certification, if required (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).
Current, valid Arizona Driver’s License and 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration liability insurance to meet insurance requirements, if required.
Initial current negative TB test result, if required (Employer provides).
