Medical Assistant needed at North Miami office
Specific Responsibilities
- Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
- Collect blood, tissue or other laboratory specimens.
- Help physicians examine and treat patients, handing them instruments and materials or performing such tasks as giving injections and removing sutures.
-Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
-Perform general office duties such as answering telephones and call back patients with lab results . - Inform supervisor of low supplies so they can be ordered.
- Operate x-ray, electrocardiogram (EKG), and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Graduation from high school or equivalent.
- Graduate of a medical assistant program, and current national certification required.
- six months of medical assistant experience in comparable health care setting.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
