We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our private practice team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing the healthcare of a wide variety of patients in an internal medicine setting. As part of our team, the advanced care provider will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and contributing to exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to individuals and families in a private practice setting, ensuring their medical needs are met with professionalism and compassion.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients with a variety of general health conditions.
- Ensure patient care meets the practice's commitment to quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
- Collect, document, and maintain accurate patient information, including medical, family, and social history, allergies, medications, and past medical history.
- Perform physical examinations, review patient histories, and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.) to guide clinical decision-making and treatment planning.
- Prescribe medications and administer treatments to prevent communicable diseases.
- Educate patients on preventive health care, diet, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term wellness.
- Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in Electronic Medical Record platform.
- Collaborate with the primary doctor and refer patients to subspecialists when necessary for comprehensive care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Current New York State License as a PA or NP.
- Candidates must possess National Board Certification (AANP, ANCC, or similar) or be eligible for certification.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records is required.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, decision making, clinical, and problem-solving skills.
