What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Manager position at International Automotive Components?
Directing the performance of all Quality Assurance functions.
Establishing quality standards and guidelines for manufactured products and processes.
Ensuring compliance with all customer quality standard requirements.
Representing the company in quality-related matters with customers and suppliers.
Effective handling and resolution of customer complaints and reports of product non-conformities.
Evaluating all returned products, documenting, and communicating evaluation results.
Facilitating the use of disciplined problem-solving methods when an internal or external non-conformance to specification or requirement occurs.
Follow up and disposition of non-conforming materials and products rejected in the manufacturing process.
Establishing with the supply base the appropriate procedures, systems, and training that will continuously improve quality and delivery.
Interfacing with Manufacturing, Engineering, and support functions.
Facilitating a proactive approach to the development of robust systems and processes that emphasize prevention and continuous improvement.
Directing the standardization of targeted division quality systems, e.g. PRS, LQTS, SRS, MOS, etc.
Directing the development and effective use of Quality Roadmaps for systems and product improvement.
Reporting on the performance of the quality system to management for review and as a basis for improvement of the quality system.
Ensuring that processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented and maintained.
Reporting to top management on the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement, and ensuring the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
