POSITION SUMMARY The Plant Manager is responsible for planning, directing, or coordinating the work activities in the factory. This includes making the necessary resources for manufacturing products with quality and on-time delivery being key factors for customer satisfaction. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS· Direct and coordinate production, processing, and distribution activities of industrial organization with quality and on-time delivery a top priority.· Develop budgets and approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources, ensuring that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.· Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
- Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems and work towards continuous improvement in all areas.
· Complete required employee evaluations for subordinates in a timely manner in order to communicate successes, job-skill deficiencies, and expectations necessary for employment and advancement within the company.
- Hiring, training, and developing a qualified staff for the manufacture of products that meet production requirements and quality standards.
- Decisions and directives to reporting supervisors regarding disciplining or terminating personnel.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Understanding customer communication and dynamics, having a strong sense of urgency to meet their needs.
- High level of computer knowledge/experience using Microsoft Windows format to be able to adapt to other programs used for this position.
- Strong Leadership Skills
- Ability to work required overtime to support manufacturing needs and requests from our customers.
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs. and stand and/or sit for long periods of time.
EVALUATED COMPETENCIESE Education& Experience: Education: Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) and 2 years related experience or High School/GED with high level of management skills and 4 years of related experience.
