Position Overview
International is currently seeking Product Planner to take our business to the next level! This position is based out of our World Headquarters in Lisle, Illinois, outside of Chicago.
The trucking industry is going through a dynamic phase driven by rapid advancements in areas such as automation, connectivity, user experience, and the ever-increasing demand for electrification. These trends are driving the need for more advanced vehicle technology and digital solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of this evolution.
As part of the Product Planning team, the Product Planner will report to a Product Planning Lead.
In this position, the Product Planner will support in the development of product roadmaps and portfolio management across all technologies and plan content for annual upgrade programs.
Responsibilities
- Manage the product opportunities database with input from Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, and other cross-functional groups
- Review and prioritize product opportunities based on strategic and quantitative fit, viability, and feasibility
- Support in the strategic planning and portfolio management of predevelopment projects, technology push, and research and innovation topics
- Competitive technical forecasting
- Liaison between Sales and Marketing and R&D to facilitate the development of onboard and offboard digital solutions.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 5 years of marketing, sales or product-related experience
OR
- Master’s degree
- at least 3 years of marketing, sales or product-related experience
OR
- At least 7 years of marketing, sales or product-related experience
Additional Requirements
- Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills
- Engineering degree
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and change.
- Work cross functionally and independently
- Familiarity in technology areas – ADAS, Connected Solutions, HMI, digital solutions and E mobility .
- General understanding of Truck Technology areas
- Familiarity with Product Management, Product Planning, or Product
- Strategy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of tailoring message to audience
- Ability to build consensus with relevant stakeholders
- Exceptional analytical problem solving skills
