Volunteer Job Overview
Are you passionate about operational leadership, strategic planning, and nonprofit financial management? Do you want to make a global impact in an exciting and fast-growing sport? The IQA is looking for a Director of Operations to help lead and optimize the organization’s internal systems, processes, and compliance. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to long-term sustainability and growth.
This is a volunteer leadership position with a commitment of approximately 5–8 hours per week, depending on workload.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the IQA’s day-to-day operations across departments.
- Develop and implement internal operational systems, policies, and best practices.
- Monitor and manage financial processes, including budgeting, expense tracking, and internal controls.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with nonprofit regulations, including timely submission of required filings (e.g., Form 990 or international equivalents).
- Support donor stewardship, financial transparency, and appropriate use of funds.
- Serve as the primary liaison for finance-related questions and systems.
- Identify and implement operational improvements that enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with department leads to ensure effective execution of organizational goals.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented individual with a background in operations and finance. No prior experience in quadball is required—just a commitment to good governance and a passion for supporting an inclusive, international community.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in both verbal and written English.
- Experience in operations, nonprofit management, or financial oversight.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
Preferred but Not Required:
- Knowledge of international nonprofit structures.
- Experience in sports administration or volunteer-led organizations.
