Industrial Design Intern – Summer 2025

The Industrial Design Intern is responsible to independently produce interior and exterior sketches and renderings for concept and production vehicle products. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following :
Ability to create high fidelity, presentation quality renderings and visualization of concepts
Ability to successfully translate sketch and rendered concepts into CAD or 3D model form working with digital and physical modeling teams
About the Intern Program
12 week program with start dates on : May 12 or 19 or June 2
40 hours per week
Must graduate between December 2025 - May 2027
Minimum Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
Additional Requirements
Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B or F-1 status)
Desired Skills
Minimum required cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in industrial design
Minimum of a sophomore undergrad at the time of application with at least a 3.0 GPA
Ability to use Photoshop CS, Illustrator
Maintain the digital data library and other digital assets for future presentations and marketing team requests

Strong communication and organizational skills
Critical thinking and problem solving
Previous internships or work experience is a plus

The expected compensation hourly pay ranges for hires into our campus intern openings is $24 - $38 / hour. The hourly pay rate is based on year in school and is non-negotiable.
