Position Overview
The Client is seeking an Enterprise Project Manager – Advanced to lead and manage multiple medium-to-complex IT projects supporting Medicaid and healthcare systems.
The Project Manager will work closely with internal business units, executive leadership, and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of high-priority initiatives. This role requires strong project planning, execution, communication, and stakeholder management skills in a healthcare IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Project Manager for multiple concurrent IT projects
- Assist with developing and refining business and technical requirements
- Build detailed project plans and execute against approved schedules
- Manage project scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time
- Coordinate with internal teams, leadership, and external vendors
- Prepare and present project status reports, metrics, and documentation
- Maintain project artifacts, plans, and reports using standard PM tools
- Communicate project risks, issues, and strategies both verbally and in writing
- Support portfolio and program-level planning and reporting
- Perform other project-related duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- 3–5 years of experience in project management
- 1–3 years of project management experience within a healthcare insurance IT environment
- Strong project planning experience, including:
- Effort estimation for technical tasks
- Resource allocation and scheduling
- Experience managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Medicaid systems or Healthcare Delivery Systems
- Experience working on healthcare claims or eligibility systems
- Familiarity with large government or public-sector IT projects
