Your role will be to work with our team of construction professionals and provide accurate and efficient cost estimates for projects. Your role in this process will be as follows: Develop accurate and timely electrical construction estimates on which we base competitive bids and proposals for our client-base customers. Analyze and interpret detailed drawings and specifications. Determine and price value-engineered alternatives to plans and specifications. Perform budget pricing from schematic drawings and narrative. Draft scope letters, proposals and vendor solicitations. Attend job walks; pre-bid meetings; collaborations and conferences with clients and design professionals. Work under deadline pressures in an efficient, composed and calm manner. Additional Essential Functions: Work alongside other estimators, project managers and project engineers on change-orders and cost-to-complete estimates of on-going projects. Help create and communicate company standards for estimating electrical design/build and plans and specs work. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Experience with the following software: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Outlook. Analytical, problem-solving mentality. Team player, self-motivated, gets along well with supervisors, peers and subordinates. Excellent verbal and written communication. Able to track and organize project and information. Able to calculate figures and amounts. Possesses sound judgement skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize work. Willing to consider commercial electrical experience with the right candidate. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s or Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
