Position Description
Title: Pouch Line Operator
Department: Operations
Immediate Supervisor: Plant Supervisory Staff
Status: Hourly
Position Purpose: Operates the Pouch Line
Principle Accountabilities
- Responsible for the safe, controlled start-up and operation of the pouch line equipment including starting the machine, engaging the feed, observing the operation, and manages changeover process.
- Inspects and measures completed pieces to verify conformity to customer production standards.
- Monitors and adjusts controls to ensure product complies with production standards.
- Supervises and instructs line assistant in all production based tasks.
- Maintains equipment through completion of assigned preventative maintenance tasks and minor repair techniques as required.
- Records quality and production metrics via written communication methods and within time deadlines as necessary.
- Performs all work in a safety first mentality and with utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills.
- Related tasks as requested by supervisor
Essential Skills and Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- 2 Years in a Manufacturing Environment experience required
- Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required
- Ability to work in space limited work area on continuous basis.
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour

Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Evening shift
- 2 - 2 - 3 rotation, work every other weekend
- Night shift
