Description
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for processing order shipments in an accurate and timely manner while maintaining high-quality packaging standards and a satisfactory customer experience. The Shipping Clerk works closely with other Intrepid departments to meet company goals and facilitate efficient communications and systems for all outgoing and incoming shipments.
Requirements
Essential Job Functions:
- Gatekeeper of incoming calls. Calls are forwarded to the department/employee if needed. Use gatekeeping techniques to block SPAM calls.
- Maintains electronic filing records of shipping documents.
- Follows set shipping requirements set by upper management.
- Works with the Inventory Analyst/Finished Goods Logistics Manager to improve KPIs, Metrics, and current company/shipping department goals.
- Contributes and adheres to the shipping department knowledge base, accessible by the applicable team members as information is learned.
- Ensures all “ready to ship” orders are shipped within one business day. Communicate with the Inventory Analyst/Logistics Manager on any product or supply shortages.
- Ability to fill, pack, and ship orders with 100% quality and accuracy following Intrepid’s current system workflows.
- Uses Intrepid assigned business-approved programs such as BlueSky, Google Docs, Adobe PDF Editor, UPS, DHL, FedEx, etc. to process and ship orders.
- Performs packing checks by matching product and serial numbers to associated order documentation prior to shipment.
- Accurately prepares domestic, international, and customs paperwork.
- Communicates with customers via email to provide tracking information, and shipment documentation, or a system tweak during weekly team meetings.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of all and any financial data, customer information, purchase details, and records.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager.
