Associate – Infrastructure & Energy Investments
Remote; preference for Eastern or Central Time zone. Hybrid option in DC.
$140k-$150k 40% Target Bonus
We’re partnering with a private investment firm founded by experienced infrastructure and power developers to help them add an Associate to their Investment Team. This is a high-impact role with exposure across both active investments and new transactions, ideal for someone eager to contribute in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
About the Firm
The firm deploys flexible capital across the infrastructure spectrum: investing in renewable fuels, waste and recycling, energy storage, and conventional assets in both US and international markets. They also manage an active tax equity platform supporting developers of solar, RNG, waste-to-energy, and other ITC/PTC-eligible technologies.
The Role
This Associate will be a key contributor across two core areas:
Investor Relations & Portfolio Management
- Lead investor reporting, including bi-annual memos and MD&A
- Track capital activity and performance across portfolio companies
- Interface with boards, management teams, and third-party providers
- Support tax deliverables, compliance tracking, and model maintenance
Investment & Transaction Support
- Join deal teams for underwriting, diligence, and execution
- Build and manage complex financial models (e.g., tax equity, hedging, structured finance)
- Prepare investment memos and presentations
- Support closing logistics and ongoing asset monitoring
- Conduct research on new markets, regulatory shifts, and deal flow
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in investment banking, infrastructure development, tax equity, or similar fields
- Strong financial modeling skills; Excel fluency required
- Comfort working independently and taking ownership in fast-paced settings
- Interest in energy and infrastructure markets, especially the intersection of policy and capital
- Experience working in renewable energy
- Bachelor’s degree
