REVENUE ACCOUNTANT
Job Description:
Revenue Accounting is a centralized function which supports our Property Management teams for a portfolio of over 83,000 single-family rental homes. Responsibilities also include ensuring timely and accurate payment application, ledger corrections, utility bill-backs, and write-offs/collections, as well as closely working with our Property Accounting and Treasury teams.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and is able to manage multiple tasks.

Essential Functions:
- Provide Genuine Care when assisting our Property Management teams with requests for information and/or assistance for various matters.
- Prepare the daily AR Aging report.
- Complete the daily Yardi Dashboard reports.
- Prepare and post correcting entries to resident ledgers as requested.
- Prepare weekly utility credit files for resident ledgers.
- Complete the reapplication of misapplied payments.
- Code daily HAP (Section 8), rent, rental assistance, and SODA checks mailed to the Corporate Office.
- Code weekly expense reimbursement checks mailed to the Corporate Office.
- Update all applicable payment trackers.
- Prepare monthly GL reconciliations for all entities.
- Generate monthly write-off file for all accounts to be sent to collections.
- Manage accounts in collections, including correspondence with the agencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience.
- Real estate development, hospitality, and/or property management experience preferred.
- Knowledge and use of Yardi property management software preferred.
Required Skills
- Intermediate Excel user with ability to export / create documents for internal reporting.
- Entry-level knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong written/oral and interpersonal communication skills; ability to communicate in a professional manner with all levels in the organization, across functional groups.
- Ability to communicate processes and procedures in an easily comprehensible manner.
- Analytical; with the ability to interpret medium to complex issues, analyze multiple variables, to determine the root problem and bring issues to a successful conclusion in a high-volume fast paced environment.
- Organized and flexible; with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Accuracy; with the ability to audit/reconcile resident ledgers and accounting systems to ensure data integrity.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Working Conditions
- Typical office environment; no unusual exposures. Standard office working environment that may be busy and noisy at times.
- Overtime may be required during reporting cycles.
Reporting Responsibility
- This position reports to the Revenue Accounting Manager.
This position is Non-Exempt.
