IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.
Our client is looking for a Security Analyst to be responsible for developing and maintaining system security plans, ensuring compliance with DWD policy, standards and regulatory requirements, and conducting thorough security assessments to safeguard our organization's information assets.
Tasks:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for the creation and maintenance of SSPs and ensure that security controls are properly documented and implemented to mitigate identified risks.
Conduct security assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented security controls.
Involved with updating IT security policies & procedures.
Participate in the audits.
Assist team with compliance security & risk assessment.
Work with team to remediate findings.

Skills Required:
- 8-10 years Knowledge and deep understanding of NIST IT Security standards and controls.
- 8 years Developing comprehensive System Security Plans (SSPs) in accordance with NIST Special Publication 800-53.
- 8 years - Conducting security assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented security controls.
- 8 years Developing and maintaining IT Security policies and procedures.
- 10 years MS Office products.
- 8 years Experience in Technical writing and documentation.
- 8 years Documenting requirements.
- 10 years IT Technologies skills and concepts.
Skills Desired A plus to have:
- 8 years Technical writing.
- 5 years - Understanding of IRS publication 1075, Social Security Administration Technical security.
- Experience with creating and maintaining IT policies and procedures.
- Previous experience providing this service for government a plus, and experience with DWD's environments will be especially valuable.
- CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
