Assist with the supervision of the Cyber Library, including maintaining a productive study environment and ensuring adequate evening student worker coverage of the library’s Help Desk and Tutoring Center. Provide general reference services to faculty, staff and students. Assist with technology questions and troubleshoot issues with library equipment. Provide supervision of evening student worker staff in the library and tutoring center.Position runs August through May. Work schedule is Monday to Thursday 3:00 – 9:00 pm.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Assist with the day-to-day organization, security, and appearance of the Cyber Library, ensuring that it is a welcoming study environment for students, faculty, and staff.Responsible for ensuring the appropriate staff and student worker coverage of the Cyber Library and Tutoring Center during evening hours. Provide training and support to student worker staff.Provide assistance to users in operating and troubleshooting the Cyber Library computers, laptops, printers, equipment and other technology.Provide general reference assistance to library users via multiple mediums, including phone, Zoom, email and in-person.Assist with publicity and promotion of reference, research, and learning support services.Assist with circulation of library technology and ensure items are returned and accounted for.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Requires prolonged standing or sitting and frequent bending, stooping or stretching. May require light lifting. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires ability to distinguish letters or symbols. Requires the use of office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, telephone, faxes, and copiers.
