About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our research and development team. This role is ideal for an undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in biotechnology, molecular biology, or a related field. The successful candidate will assist in daily laboratory operations, support ongoing experiments, and ensure high standards of lab organization and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in routine laboratory procedures including sample preparation, buffer/media preparation as well as other assigned work
- Support senior scientists in experimental work and data collection
- Document experimental procedures and results accurately in lab notebooks and digital systems
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal of samples and reagents
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment in compliance with safety protocols
- Participate in inventory management of lab supplies and ordering when needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
- 1–3 years of hands-on laboratory experience (academic or industry)
- Solid understanding of basic immunology, chemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, and biochemical techniques.
- Proficiency in laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, spectrophotometers, flow cytometry, LC-MS, etc.
- Good organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Familiarity with standard laboratory safety and hygiene practices
- Proficiency in Mandarin is an additional asset
