At the Irca Group Americas, the Production Manager is primarily responsible for managing all production systems for the plant. Lead and provide direction to plant Supervisors, monitoring the hourly/production employees safety, training and development. You will also partner with Supervisors to develop achievable targets and production demands. The position is located in Elk Grove Village, IL. (this is an on-site position)
Objectives and Responsibilities:

Builds relationship within Irca Group organization to optimize available resources

Uses processing knowledge to help impact Irca Group's bottom line

Efficiently execute the production schedule

Establishes and promotes Performance Management initiatives; Establishes KPIs to manage processes & offers expertise in development of any new process manufacturing KPIs

Develop and maintain efficient SOPs in collaboration department leaders

Develop and maintain qualified personnel within the plant production department, both Supervision and Operators

Communicate and enforce regulatory & Irca Group standards within the plant

Drive operational efficiency initiatives and a continuous improvement mindset

Manage the plant production department within budget.

Promote a positive working environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education & Experience Requirements:
- BS/MS in Engineering, Business or Food Science
- 10 years’ experience in food, chemical or pharmaceutical industry. 4 years as a Supervisor or higher
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodology
- Demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate team leadership and people development through motivating, coaching & influencing others
- Demonstrate the ability to handle conflict and problem solving
- Demonstrate business acumen with thorough understanding of plant operations
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
