Cafe Supervisor

Are you passionate about great coffee, friendly service, and being part of a bustling neighborhood bagel shop? Irene’s Bagels in Chicago’s Ravenswood neighborhood is looking for a full-time barista to join our team!

Irene’s Bagels crafts exceptional bagels and coffee for locals and visitors alike. We take pride in our naturally leavened and kettle-boiled bagels, thoughtfully prepared sandwiches, and curated espresso drinks and beverages. Our vibe is warm, collaborative, and community-focused — and we’re looking for someone who embodies that same energy.

Location: 1942 W Montrose Ave, Chicago, IL 60613
Schedule: Full-time (including weekends & mornings)

• Prepare and serve high-quality espresso drinks, brewed coffee, tea, and specialty beverages

• Provide friendly, efficient service to customers at the counter and to-go orders

• Engage with guests about our menu, drinks, and bagel offerings

• Keep the workspace clean, organized, and stocked

• Operate POS system and handle cash/credit transactions accurately

• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure great customer experiences

• Previous barista or coffee service experience required 

• Passion for coffee, hospitality, and quality food

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn

• Available to work mornings, weekends, and peak breakfast hours
