Position Summary

The Adult Services Assistant Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the supervision and training of staff, and the direct training and supervision of selected clients who are receiving services at the Adult Day Activity Program. The duties include, but are not limited to quality programming and service delivery to ensure positive outcomes for ADAclients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing daily supervision of ADA staff.
  • Participate in the selection of clients referred to the Adult Day Activities program. Serve on the admissions committee for incoming referrals.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining record keeping according to IWC policies and procedures and in accordance with CARF standards and any other referral/funding agencies requirements.
  • Promotes and maintains communications with ancillary referring agencies regarding clients’ progress.
  • Assist in providing orientation, training, and evaluations for adult services staff and volunteers.
  • Keeps abreast of current rehabilitation/habilitation trends by participating in in-services, professional conferences, course work, committees, etc when appropriate.
  • Directly supervises the services that clients receive.
  • Participates in meetings as needed, including client team meetings.
  • Responsible for client advocacy.
  • Actively coordinates and communicates assigned client individualized program plans, goals, program implementation, objectives, restrictions, needs and other pertinent client information with other relevant IWC staff and outside agencies.
  • Monitors, collects and distributes data as appropriate regarding assigned client program plans.
  • Maintains individual files and writes reports following IWC policies and regulatory and referring agency guidelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly clinical documentation and billing for Adult Day Activities Program.
  • Ensure that all approved policies and procedures are implemented in a fashion that best meets the needs of all clients served.
  • Ensure continued compliance with all ICF/IID regulations, NC Department of Public Instruction standards, NC Division of MH/DD/SAS/ & Division of Aging and Adult Services standards, Innovations, CARF, APSM, and all other statutes, regulations, or standards that are necessary for the continued operation of IWC.
  • Monitor and report maintenance needs of facility and equipment to Adult Services Coordinator and/or other relevant parties.
  • Assist in the administrative decision making in the absence of the Adult Services Coordinator.

Education/Training

A graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a human service field and has two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated MH/DD/SA experience with the population served and QP qualified.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
