What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Tech - Casual position at IRMC?
Position Summary: Following established procedures, performs and/or assists in radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations as ordered by the physician. Is able to assess and provide appropriate treatment for all patients from neonate through adult.
Skills required: Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary to interact courteously and effectively with patients, families, visitors and hospital personnel. Ability to deal with stressful situations and heavy work loads.
Minimum Education Required: Must have successfully completed an approved school of radiologic technology.
Licensure/Certification Required: Must be registered with the ARRT or be registry eligible. Registry eligible techs must attain ARRT certification upon hire. Must be BLS certified required (or obtain within one month of hire).
