What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Team Leader - 1st shift position at IRONWOOD PLASTICS?
SUMMARY:
Oversees, monitors, and coordinates production team activities, giving importance to overall achievement of established goals. Ensures team’s goals are aligned with and representative of the overall company’s goals. Take accountability for achieving target performance as indicated by business goals. Facilitate real-time management of the process for established manufacturing lines ensuring optimal use of equipment, personnel and materials.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead by example to ensure high morale and performance
- Inspire employees to support company vision, mission, and guiding principles
- Oversee, monitor, and coordinate production team activities to achieve established goals
- Ensure adherence to 5S and all Quality Systems procedures
- Manage labor resources and optimize equipment and production efficiency
- Provide guidance, counsel, and direction to team members, ensuring accurate documentation
- Lead troubleshooting activities and engage support staff as needed
- Communicate effectively across departments and shifts
- Work weekends as needed to support customer requirements
- Ensure adherence to Job Book and customer requirements
- Monitor and manage DMR area for timely disposition
