We are currently seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and patient-centered full-time RN for our Emergency Department!
Job Summary
Utilizes the nursing process to provide care to patients of all age groups (infancy through geriatrics), and with all types & degrees of severity of illness or injury. Practices in accordance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act, and hospital & department policies, procedures & standards. Participates in performance improvement efforts. Maintains a clean, well organized department in a constant state of readiness with adequate supplies, equipment checks & housekeeping tasks. Maintains competence through required in-services & other continuing education.
Shift
- Full Time/ 36 hours per week
- 7am - 7pm (Days)
Requirements
Graduated from an accredited school of Nursing.
Must have current hospital experience (within 5 years), or be a new nursing graduate (within 2 years).
Effective written and oral communication.
Must be able to think clearly during emergencies & be able to function well in extremely stressful situations.
Valid state of IL RN license
CPR certification within 3 months of hire
ACLS certification within 1 year of hire
PALS certification within 1 year of hire
ECRN certification within 2 years of hire
Recommended TNS & CEN certifications after 3 years

Iroquois Memorial Hospital is A 25 bed hospital located in Watseka, Illinois, consisting of clinical and diagnostic services which are dedicated to providing high quality health care services to the community. These services include, but are not limited to an Emergency Room, full service OR suites, an inpatient care unit, therapy services, advanced medical imaging, Home Health, and Hospice Care. The hospital operates rural health clinics in Watseka, IL, Gilman, IL, Milford, IL, Saint Anne, IL and Kentland, IN. along with a skilled nursing facility, Iroquois Resident Home, which is attached to the hospital property.
