What are the responsibilities and job description for the Document Control Coordinator position at IS International Services?
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer and manage the Electronic Document Management Software (EDMS), spreadsheets and databases
- Log submittals including but not limited to, drawings, samples, technical manuals, request for information (RFIs), request for proposal (RFPs)
- Coordinate document control processes by following established procedure and protocols in regards to document retention, document issuing, and processing
- First point of contact for any issues regarding document control
- Assists the project team with formal communication (transmittals, RFIs, notices, etc.) using the project controls systems
- Attend and participate in design, construction and other meetings as required.
- Travel up to 10%
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION
- Associates Degree in Business or Technical Discipline e.g. Engineering, Computer Science
- Working familiarity of Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Microstation, Solidworks, REVIT or other construction CAD systems such as BIM 360 is a plus
- Familiarity with Electronic Document Management Systems is a plus
- Electrical and/or Mechanical construction document control experience is a strong plus
- Highly organized with the ability to work in a fast pace environment
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate and interact with Client administrative document control personnel on a daily basis
