What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Therapist position at Island Mind Therapy?

We are a new mental health clinic seeking therapists / counselors who live on Maui to join our team in the heart of Wailuku serving Maui community members. Our clinic provides individual and family-centered, evidence-based interventions focused on improving clinical symptoms and functioning for persons of all ages to develop to their highest potential.
Job Purpose: To serve our Maui community in providing much needed mental health services consisting of mental health assessment and diagnosis, collaborative treatment planning, evidence-based psychotherapy, treatment progress monitoring, and discharge/transition planning.
Primary Function: To provide mental health clinical services, including mental health assessment and diagnosis, as well as individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy to individuals served by the clinic.
Secondary Functions: To assist clinic leadership with the planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring of the clinic's programs, services, and activities, as well as providing mentoring and clinical oversight and consultation within scope of practice to non-licensed clinical staff as applicable.
Necessary Qualifications - Education and Experience (Must meet the requirements for one of the professions listed below):
- Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist
- Holds a master's or doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in one of the above positions.
- Successfully completed required hours of post-graduate supervision and other requirements as needed for state of Hawaii licensure in one of the above positions.
- Note: We can help you get your post-graduate supervision requirements needed for licensure while employed at Island Mind Therapy LLC.
Required Licenses, Certificates, ETC.
- Must possess a current State of Hawaii license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist OR must meet the requirements for pre-licensure (pending required clinical supervision hours) and obtain a license issued by the State of Hawaii within two years from the date of appointment as a Mental Health Professional.
