ORAL SURGERY TREATMENT COORDINATOR
ISLAND ORAL & MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY is seeking a long-term full-time Treatment Coordinator to join our Oral Surgery ohana. Our practice prides itself on providing exceptional care while maintaining a comfortable and compassionate patient experience.

Excellent written, spoken, and mathematical skills are REQUIRED.
Essential Job Functions for the Treatment Coordinator will include:
- Coordinate patient care with Surgeon in a timely and efficient manner
- Answer incoming patient inquiries and schedule appointments
- Obtain and verify insurance benefits and eligibility
- Check in / out patients
- Calculate and collect patient payments
- Prepare and submit claims
- Check and respond to emails
- Create and present comprehensive treatment plan and estimates
- EMR auditing
- Submit insurance pre-authorizations
- Detailed tracking and communication with doctor, patients, and referring offices.
- Communicate with physician offices to obtain medical clearances
- Maintain and manage a diligent patient follow up schedule
- Prepare and issue treatment letters to referring doctors
REQUIREMENTS:
- DENTAL TERMINOLOGY IS REQUIRED.
- Minimum 2 years of CURRENT front office dental experience (Oral Surgery preferred)
- Exceptional knowledge of medical and dental terminology
- Outstanding work ethic with a self-starter attitude, ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize and deliver multiple tasks on time
- Knowledge in dental/medical insurance and billing
- Able to maintain confidentiality with all matters including maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Sales and marketing experience a plus
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a busy environment
- Eager to become an expert in the position
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:45AM – 5:00PM; no weekends.
