Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Record patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Schedule patient appointments and manage follow-up visits.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with coding for insurance purposes.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, billing, and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Experience in outpatient care, dermatology, emergency medicine, urgent care, geriatrics, or internal medicine is a plus.
- Proficient in medical coding practices is desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Must be able to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
