Duties:

Position Description

The ideal candidate will be familiar with the full software design life cycle. They should have experience in designing, coding, testing and consistently managing applications They should be comfortable coding in a number of languages and have an ability to test code in order to maintain high-quality code.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Design, code, test and manage various applications
• Develop automated tests and conduct performance tuning
• Responsible for translating software requirements into workable web-based applications, including writing specifications and designing, building, testing, implementing and supporting applications using .NET programming languages and development tools.
• Convert legacy application codes on web forms and other legacy technologies into .net MVC or .Net core.
• Migrate legacy SQL queries to entity framework-based implementations.
• Optimize application code and database queries to ensure high performance.
• Identify and resolve application bugs.
• Participate in building applications from the ground up.
• Research, evaluate, and implement new technologies and tools.
• Collaborate and coordinate with stakeholders and cross-functional team to achieve project goals.
• Participate in project planning sessions to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to data flow.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues.
• Write code according to specifications and diagnose and fix bugs

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• 3 plus years hands-on experience in software development as a software developer, developing web applications.
• Understanding of SDLC processes, spanning requirements/issue management, defect tracking, source control, build and test automation, and release management
• Experience with designing and developing applications using .NET development platform (C#, ASP.Net).
• Strong knowledge of software version control concepts and change management processes.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling concepts.
• Database experience with SQL Server or MySQL.
• Working knowledge of MVC.
