Position Summary:
Responsible for the availability, safety, confidentiality, and integrity of Isleta Resort and Casino’s Information Technology assets. Takes care of the day to day IT security operations, conducts threat and risk analysis, and provides essential suggestions for threat response. Serves as a primary advisor on information security issues. Promotes and exhibits World Class Guest Service to all of the Isleta
Resort and Casino guests.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class. - Maintains IT Security and technical knowledge by attending classes or educational workshops.
- Proactively monitors Isleta Resort and Casinos network and critical systems and databases for intrusions.
- Responsible for collecting and analyzing data to assist in eliminating risk and performance issues.
- Researches and recommends new technologies for Isleta Resort and Casino.
- Conducts risk assessments and business impacts on new systems and technologies.
- Designs and develops security features for system architectures.
- Defines security requirements for computer systems and suggests various solutions to implement.
- Works with the Network and Systems Administrators to identify vulnerabilities and needed patches. Assists both teams in ensuring network and systems are patched and compliant.
- Installs, manages and configures security related systems such as anti-virus, malware, firewall IDS with both hardware and software solutions.
- Designs security training materials and organizes training sessions for Isleta Resort and Casino Team Members.
- Occasionally performs other duties as assigned
Accountability and Supervision:
None
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT, or related field, preferred.
- Certified in at least one of the following within a specified period of time after hire: Security , Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA- Security), CISSP or equivalent security certification.
- Two (2) years working experience as a IT Security Administrator, preferred.
- Two (2) years working knowledge of IT Security, preferred.
- Or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certification
- Must be able to acquire and maintain Gaming License issued through POIGRA.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation.
- Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any days/hours as needed or required to meet business needs.
- Must maintain all Isleta Resort and Casino-wide educational and certification requirements.

- Must be knowledgeable of IT Security concepts, principles, and practices; computer/server operations and user environments.

- Must be able to work independently, manage projects, install, configure, upgrade, maintain, monitor system performance, network resources, and provide guidance to team members.
- Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule to include 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on-call, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to lift, move, and place 25 pounds.
- Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time
Working Conditions:
Work is generally performed in, both, a Casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level, exposure to various lights and sounds and a high paced office setting; possibility of working outdoors in extreme weather conditions such as high levels of heat, cold, winds, rain, hail, and snow.
Occasionally may be required to interact with hostile and/or angry guests.
