School Photographer

Do you love kids? Do you have high energy? Do you love working in a fast paced environment? If so, this job is for YOU! We are looking for school photographers to lead our teams this coming fall season and want you to join us!

Professional photography experience is a plus but absolutely NOT required. If you have the skills listed above, you'll be great and we can train you in photography!

You will be going to all kinds of different schools around our local (Albany NY) area, from preschools all the way to colleges. There, you will run an iSmile School Picture Day!

This consists of setting up (we photograph both indoors and outdoors, depending on what the school chooses), photographing all the adorable kids, editing those pictures in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, uploading the final images to our online platform, making back-ups of all photos, and being an iSmile ambassador to both school administrators as well as parent volunteers at all our schools.

We work as a team and you will always have another photographer to support you at your assigned schools.

Your training will take place at our studio in Colonie Center as well as out in the field at schools! We will also provide you with everything you need to do your job, including a camera, lens, lighting, props, MacBook, and a stipend for a subscription to Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

Hours and days worked will vary depending on our school schedule. A successful applicant will have a high energy level, professional appearance and attitude, reliable transportation, be punctual and dependable, and work well both in a team environment AND from home without supervision. We also require background checks. During your interview we will discuss the work/life expectations and balance we hope for.
