Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our care. You will interact with dogs of various breeds and temperaments, ensuring their well-being and happiness while also maintaining a clean and organized facility.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime to ensure safety and socialization.
- Implement proper animal restraint techniques when necessary to ensure the safety of all dogs.
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area, including regular cleaning of kennels, play areas, and equipment.
- Assist with basic pet grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing as needed.
- Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their dogs’ activities and behaviors.
- Assist in training sessions or activities that promote positive behavior among the dogs.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to create a secure environment for both pets and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in animal care or dog handling is preferred.
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with pet grooming practices is a plus.
- Experience working in a kennel or veterinary setting is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is required.
- Certification in dog training or veterinary assistance is beneficial but not mandatory.
