What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCA Production Process Engineer position at iTECH?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Works to improve manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency, in the PCA area.
· Prepare and presents plans for the above and coordinates deployment including assistance with training requirements of team members.
· Assists Production Manager and Supervisor in improving a system of production controls, standard operating procedures, safety, quality control and training.
· Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
· Assists with the manufacturing launch (PILOT) of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
· Assist with execution of validation protocols and reports for the PCA area.
· Research and evaluate new tools, equipment and technologies for the PCA manufacturing area.
· Work with production and manufacturing engineers to improve quality and increase throughput in the printed circuit board assembly area.
· Apply statistical methods and perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency on released products.
· Support Kaizen efforts as a member of a cross-functional team.
· Suggests, supports 6S improvements and initiatives.
Specific Knowledge and Skills:
· Planning skills, the ability to think ahead and plan over a 3 to 6-month time span.
· Management skills, the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
· Technical skills in PCA manufacturing processes and methods.
· Tool and fixture development experience.
· Quality driven and gives meticulous attention to detail.
· Problem analysis and problem resolution skills.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering science/field or 8-10 years of PCBA and SMT process experience or an equivalent combination of skills and education.
· Experience with DFM/DFx analysis for printed circuit boards.
· Knowledge of Kaizen, 6S and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
· CAD/CAM Proficiency. SolidWorks, OnShape or AutoCad.
· Experience with MicroSoft Office programs.
· Computer proficiency.
· IPC 610 certification a plus.
· Knowledge of PPAP a plus.
Physical Demands:
· Typical physical effort includes frequent lifting or moving of light to moderately weighted materials along with bending or kneeling.
· The use of fine motor skills in the hands to examine, repair, disassemble and reassemble products
· Ability to sit for extended periods of time on the phone or at an assembly bench
· Regularly required to talk or hear; stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel
Work Environment:
· Work performed in both a production shop environment and an office environment
· Expected domestic travel 20% annually
· Regularly must attend to other workstations to investigate processes, make changes, communicate with employees and work with Management team.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
