Job Description

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for accepting incoming orders, processing orders, counting inventory and ensuring orders are shipped in a timely manner. They prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in staging area. This candidate will also be managing, organizing and retrieving stock. It is mandatory that they have experience operating a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Stock, issue, organize and rearrange products in warehouse.
• Keep neat and clean warehouse premises.
• Organize and keep records of inventories up to date.
• Monitor and manage inventory.
• Manage and handle shipping, loading and unloading of products.
• Deliver and pickup materials from jobsites.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Handle delicate and sensitive products with utmost care.
• Drive a company truck, sometimes with a trailer.
• Handle and operate necessary tools and accessories in maintaining and managing a warehouse.
• Integrate best practices in handling warehouse materials

Requirements

• Forklift experience
• Ability to lift 75 pounds
• High school degree or equivalent
• Proficiency in MS Office Products with working knowledge of computer
• Valid driver’s license
• Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the course of the shift
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work independently
• Highly organized and able to store items efficiently
