What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift position at ITU AbsorbTech?
ITU AbsorbTech is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Team in New Berlin, WI.
In this role, you will:
- Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and machinery
- Repairing electrical equipment
- Disassembling devices to remove defective parts
- Inspecting potential defective parts to detect wear and failure
- Inspecting suspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
- Adjusting functional equipment and machine parts and controls
- Generating purchase order for parts and machines
- Repairing or replacing defective parts
- Installing appropriate machine guarding devices and unique functional and structural parts in devices
- Testing device performance to assure safe operation of repaired equipment and machinery
- Performing all preventative maintenance
- Completing work order to document all work performed
- Setting up and operating equipment as needed to perform maintenance and diagnostics
Pay: $20-$24 an hour, based on experience. $0.50 shift differential for 2nd shift.
2nd Shift Schedule: 12pm-8:30pm; Monday-Friday. Occasional weekends as needed.
Education and Experience:
Associates’ Degree (or current enrollment in a technical school) in Facilities Maintenance (or similar) and 1-3 years’ related experience in maintenance or mechanical repair is required; or equivalent in related experience. Incumbent must be detail-oriented, dependable, and have a positive attitude.
