What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP, Business Lending position at IU Credit Union?
IU Credit Union is seeking a proven professional to join our team as VP, Business Lending. The primary market focus is the Greenwood/Indianapolis area; however, candidate will work in Bloomington one to two days per week to attend business loan committee and other meetings.
Responsibilities include:
Identifying, acquiring and retaining business member relationships while balancing the relationship between originations and asset protection. Contribute meaningfully toward achievement of business lending goals; proactively manage assigned portfolio of clients and potential watch list clients; identify member needs and maximize relationship opportunities; generate leads and close opportunities; originate standard and complex business loans.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree with preferred emphasis in finance, accounting, or management or equivalent experience. A minimum of five years business lending experience with formal credit training preferred. Proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong analytical ability required. Track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals preferred.
