What are the responsibilities and job description for the Private Music Teacher position at Ivory Lane Studio?
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement music lesson plans for students of all ages and skill levels
- Teach various music styles, including dance, ballet, and other genres
- Provide instruction in music theory, sight-reading, and ear training
- Foster a positive and engaging learning environment
- Manage student behavior and maintain classroom discipline
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Provide feedback and assess student progress
- Collaborate with parents and other teachers to support student development
- Incorporate technology and multimedia into music lessons
- Capture memorable moments through photography during performances or events
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a music teacher or instructor
- Proficient in dance, ballet, and other music styles
- Strong knowledge of music theory and sight-reading techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage student behavior and maintain classroom discipline
- Experience working with students of all ages, including adults and children
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles
- Experience working with diverse student populations is a plus
- Passion for music education and a desire to inspire students' love for music
Please note that we are looking for all types of music instruction… i.e. voice, piano, guitar, violin, theatre, etc.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 30 per week
