Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide direct resident care and supervise nursing assistants in a long-term care setting. This role ensures high-quality nursing services in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Supervise and support CNAs and nurse aide trainees
- Accurately document nursing care, medication administration, and incidents
- Communicate changes in resident condition to physicians and families
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and HIPAA standards
- Participate in quality assurance activities and staff training
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program
- Current, active, unencumbered LPN/LVN license in the state
- CPR certification (required)
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and assist residents as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift
- Ability to work with elderly, ill, and emotionally distressed residents
